Gin & Gingerbread
12th May 2017
Gin was consumed without restraint in the 18th Century bearing little resemblance to the aromatically balanced botanical spirit we now know as Newton House Gin.
The most popular way of drinking gin back in the 18th Century was with a side helping of ginger cake. We have created a wonderful moist and light, gluten and dairy free, ginger cake which tastes delicious and divine and is the perfect accompaniment to,
“Freddies Favorite Tipple”
Fill a wide mouthed glass with ice made from our own Newton House Spring water, add a slice of lime, 25ml of Newton House Gin and 100ml Fever-Tree, our favourite tonic water. Stir with a swizzle stick, garnish with a lightly bruised mint leaf, kick up your preferred chill music and enjoy…. heaven in a glass.
The ginger cake has to be eaten to be believed too!
